Headland and KUKA Robotics have announced in a statement a partnership to offer robot technology and systems engineering to the Australian and New Zealand markets.

Germany-based KUKA Robotics focuses on technology for the automation of industrial production processes.

Headland adds KUKA to its lineup of suppliers from a range of sectors in the manufacturing industry that it represents in Australia and New Zealand.

As part of the agreement, Headland will be responsible for the supply, service and spare parts of KUKA robots and will partner with integrators and system providers to offer the technology.

According to the statement, Marand Precision, formerly the agent for KUKA Robotics, said it has decided to re-focus its business on automation and integration capabilities.

However, Marand will continue to be actively involved with KUKA Robotics and Headland as a KUKA Robotics Master Systems Integrator with a focus on complex integrated robotic solutions.
