E+H new HART Field Xpert communicator

ENDRESS + Hauser (E+H) Australia says its new HART Field Xpert communicator offers complete wireless solution for fast, convenient field communications.

According to E+H, its handheld Field Xpert communicator streamlines device commissioning, diagnostics and trouble-shooting both directly and offline. Field Xpert operates with HART/Bluetooth modem and WLAN (WiFi) supported networks.

E+H says its Field Xpert being an industrial PDA is based on Microsoft Windows Mobile 6 and provides fast boot up and operation. It runs intuitive software tailored to the daily needs of field technicians. Device Descriptions (DDs) can be wirelessly downloaded straight to Field Xpert.

The 550g Field Xpert device is said to feature a rechargeable lithium ion battery to maximise time between charges. A 3.5” transflective TFT colour screen allows Field Xpert to be used in bright sunlight and normal light while rich graphics display charts and graphs in an easy-to-read format.

Field Xpert provides universal support for all HART devices and will soon be available for FOUNDATION Fieldbus, PROFIBUS PA and WirelessHART. Synchronization with FieldCare to allow a further completion of Endress+Hauser’s Plant Asset Management solution will also be available in the near future.
