BETTA Machine Tools (BMT) will showcase machine technology from around the world on Stand J80 at Austech 2008.

The company offers solutions in additive machining, high-precision milling, scanning solutions, precise electrochemical machining, adaptive machining solutions, and CAD CAM software.

The company will display the EOSINT M 270 at the show.

The machine builds metal parts using Direct Metal Laser-Sintering (DMLS), where metal powder is fused into a solid part by melting it locally using a focussed laser beam.

The technology creates complex geometries directly from 3D CAD data in a few hours without any tooling.

It is a net-shape process, producing parts with high accuracy and detailed resolution.

Good surface quality and excellent mechanical properties are achieved from a variety of metals including steel, stainless steel, and chrome cobalt.

The company will also display products from EOS, Hermle, Steinbeichler, PEM, Accutex and Open Mind.

BMT services include sales service and on-going support of a select range of machine tools, training of technology and procedures in manufacturing, and consultancy in all aspects of manufacturing.
