2010 WorkSafe Victoria Awards open soon

ENTRIES for the 2010 WorkSafe Victoria Awards will open in April, and the organisers want to hear from potential nominees.

WorkSafe Victoria says it is looking for companies and individuals that go the extra distance, and whose innovation and leadership raises the standard of health and safety.

According to WorkSafe Victoria, many people are being innovative to meet safety needs, showing issues can be dealt with effectively, quickly with relatively little expense, while delivering great benefits.

The 2010 WorkSafe Victoria Awards has categories in Best OHS Management System, Best Solution to an Identified Workplace Health and Safety Issue, Best Health and Safety Initiative in a Small Business, Health and Safety Committee of the Year, and Health and Safety Representative of the Year.
