NEXEN, distributed by Norman G Clark, has released the Eclipse line of spring-engaged servomotor brakes designed to mount to servomotors up to 20HP.

The Eclipse range is compromised of spring-engaged servomotor brakes equipped with a split hub, zero backlash clamp collar for attachment to the servomotor shaft. They come in a variety of input and output flange/shaft combinations.

According to Nexen, the Eclipse flange-mounted brakes deliver 20 to 50% more torque than competitors, from 2 to 125Nm to sufficiently stall the servomotor. This is said to providing durability for intermittent dynamic stopping applications.

The Nexen Eclipse servomotor brakes are also said to feature zero backlash for accurate holding, low inertia, and high tensional rigidity. The integral flanges can adapt to any servomotor and mounting style.
