IRCON has released the Modline 6 Series of infrared thermometers, with advanced signal processing and background-reflected energy compensation capabilities.
Ircon’s products are distributed in Australia by
AMS Instrumentation & Calibration.
According to Ircon, the Modline 6 Series includes one-and two-colour fibre optic IR thermometers designed for operation in the harsh operating environments found in metal heat treating, steel production, foundries and primary and secondary glass applications.
The Modline 6 infrared thermometers include signal processing options such as averaging, “peak hold” and “valley hold”. Ircon claims the electro-optic design means the units have built-in compensation for background-reflected energy.
The IR thermometers come with the Modline 6 Multidrop Support Software, which can be used for remote sensor configuration and data acquisition, display and archiving.
The thermometers also support two-way serial communications, remote sensor setup and configuration, real-time display of target temperature, and field calibration software.
The sensor includes a fibre-optic re-imaging lens interfacing to an electronics box, which has a LED display for access to key sensor functions and live temperature output. Ircon says users no longer have to open up the unit to change sensor settings.
