Henkel has announced Technomelt Supra, hotmelt adhesive using
a polymer that gives customers advantages, including extra-high yield and
higher thermal stability.
Hotmelt adhesive for a range of packaging applications.
Adhesives can be exposed to anything from prolonged sunlight
to sub-zero storage temperatures to ensure bonded packages withstand a wide
range of stresses before they are opened by consumers.
Henkel said that with much higher bond strength than
conventional hotmelts, Technomelt Supra requires lower adhesive application,
which significantly reduces product consumption.
It also has much higher thermal stability than conventional
hotmelts. It doesn’t gel or char and treats applicators and nozzles gently,
prolonging the equipment’s service life.
Henkel’s Technomelt Supra operates across a number of
packaging applications, including carton and folding boxes, deep freeze, straw
attachment, closure attachment, sift proof, tray erection, outlet wrapping, perishable
wrapping, and bag closure.
