HAWK Measurement has released the Sultan 234 acoustic wave level transmitter which can be powered using loop power, and three or four wire sources.

According to Hawk Measurement, the Sultan 234 acoustic wave level transmitter can carry out measurements in difficult environments, by emitting an acoustic wave pulse, which is then reflected from the surface of the material being measured.

The reflected signal is then processed using specially developed software to enhance the correct signal and reject false or spurious echoes. The measured signal is temperature compensated for accuracy.

According to Hawk Measurement, the Sultan 234 has long-range capability even on two-wire loop power. The media can be up to 80m from the sensor.
